Cuxhaven

The resort at the mouth of the Elbe, with two tidal spots: the Kugelbake at Döse, where north to south-east winds work and the shipping lane 300 m out limits the space (never ride in westerlies, which push you towards it), and Sahlenburg further west, flat and shallow either side of high tide in westerly to northerly winds. Both are rideable only a few hours around high tide; keep to the zones away from swimmers and the Wadden Sea reserve.
