Jade Bight – Hooksiel & Schillig

Two tidal beaches north of Wilhelmshaven at the mouth of the Jade. Hooksiel is a flat-water spot with a signed kite zone behind the beach cashier, rideable about two and a half hours either side of high tide and open to VDWS-licensed kiters only; Schillig adds some waves and works from north-west round to south-east, with a nature reserve at both ends. Westerly depressions bring the wind in spring and autumn.
