Ibiraquera

A surf town near Imbituba in southern Brazil with a shallow, flat lagoon for learning right behind the beach. The ocean side is a beach break that works like a point, with long rights shaped by an island a mile offshore. Wind blows about four days a week all year, 7–20 knots and up to 25 in spring, mostly from the north-east in the September-to-March season; winter southerlies are heavy but slower.
