Rio Grande – Cassino

One of the longest beaches in the world, running south from the mouth of the Lagoa dos Patos in southern Brazil. In summer a north-easterly of 15–30 knots blows three to four days a week over small to medium waves, with excellent flat water behind the breakwater; in winter strong southerlies take over.
