A flooded former open-cast mine on the southern edge of Leipzig with a wide sandy beach and meadow, a kite zone next to the windsurf beach and flat to slightly choppy water. West and south-west winds of around 3–4 Beaufort are common; summer highs bring easterlies. A city lake that rewards watching the forecast daily.
