A very shallow lake with a sandy bottom north of Osnabrück, where even strong wind only raises a light chop, which makes it a gentle place to learn. Westerly depressions bring the best days in spring and autumn at the Lembruch and Hüde launches. Kitesurfing is not allowed on the lake, windsurfing and winging only outside the winter closure from November to March; the surf schools teach wing foiling.
