Pernambuco – Maracaípe

The point of Maracaípe Bay next to Porto de Galinhas, south of Recife, with clean soft sand and plenty of room to launch. Tides of up to 2.5 m give flat water at low tide and a little chop at high tide, and a 2 km reef 800 m out forms natural pools. South to south-easterlies of 10–25 knots from May to September bring waves of 2–6 ft; December and January add good north-easterly days.
