Salzhaff – Pepelow & Rerik

A large, shallow Baltic lagoon between Wismar and Kühlungsborn, knee- to hip-deep with clear, barely salty water and excellent flat-water conditions; the water level rises when the wind pushes water into the bay. Launch from the campsite beach at Pepelow, where a school has its own zone, or from Rerik, where the open Baltic side has small waves. Depressions bring any direction, and summer can have good easterlies.
