The Sinis peninsula on Sardinia's west coast. The rocky headland of Capo Mannu is one of the Mediterranean's best-known wave spots, with medium to big waves in the north-westerly Mistral and a rocky shore that is for experts only; the sandy bay of Putzu Idu next door has flat to choppy water in the summer thermal from north-west or south-east and suits every level.
