Lake Resia – Reschensee

The reservoir with the sunken church tower at the Reschen Pass, close to the Austrian and Swiss borders. In summer a very constant southerly thermal of 3–6 Beaufort blows over flat to choppy water, while north winds are colder and gusty. The local club runs the grass launch area with separate foil and twin-tip zones, charges a small fee and requires a kite licence and liability insurance.
