A vast tidal estuary of sandbanks and shallow flats, with Le Crotoy on its northern shore. The large shallow area suits beginners, but it becomes too shallow at low tide and the current is strong when the tide runs. South-west to north-west winds from autumn to spring work best; riding is not allowed in the game reserve or along the buildings.
