Lake Annecy

France's famously clear alpine lake below the Haute-Savoie peaks is a wing foil spot rather than a kite spot. Winds of about 10–20 knots blow along the lake from the north or the south: a settled north wind of 8–12 knots is the most stable for learning, south winds bring more chop, and on summer evenings a westerly gives smooth sessions off Sevrier.
