A long, sandy beach sweeping around a big bay, where a sandbank keeps the water fairly calm, which suits beginners; strong westerlies and south-westerlies can build small waves on the bar and a shorebreak at high tide. Since the bay faces many ways, most depression winds work. In June, July and August kiting is banned from 10 am to 7 pm.
