A huge, remote U-shaped beach of hard sand in the Camargue nature reserve, reached by driving across the salt flats; there is no phone signal and only a summer snack bar. Because the bay faces almost every way, all winds except easterlies are rideable somewhere along it, and when the Mistral blows it is one of the few places on this coast that works, at up to 40 knots. Shallow chop and small waves; bring supplies and ideally a 4x4.
