Corsica – Piantarella

A bay near Bonifacio at the southern tip of Corsica with clear, knee- to waist-deep water over soft sand in front of a small island. It works best in easterly winds; westerlies turn gusty over the land. Off the island almost any direction is side-shore, and the local school at the start of the beach knows the currents.
